Students who wish to become employed with a Contract
Security Company in British Columbia are required to complete the BST1 and BST2 security course in order to apply for a Security Worker License with the Security Programs Division. |

| 1) |
Applicants are required to meet the following
course pre-requisites: |

Must be
18 years of age
or older (You will need to produce a valid ID to identify yourself when
registering and for the written examinations); |

| v | Must be medically & physically fit to participate in this program; | ||
| v |
Must be able to
articulate adequately in the English Language to complete the course (Grade
10 English or higher); |
||
| v | Must be willing to comply with S.D.T. Academy's student enrolment agreement & training regulation | ||
| 2) | Examinations: | ||
| v | BST1 written examination (60 % passing mark); | ||
| v | BST2 written examination (60 % passing mark); | ||
| v | BST2 Skill evaluation (must demonstrate a basic level of competency). | ||
| 3) | Dress Requirements: | ||
| v | Dress is casual for the BST1 course; | ||
| v | Students are required to dress in workout clothing for physical training in the "BST2" portion of the course. | ||
| 4) | Lunches & Refreshment Breaks: | ||
| v | There are no refreshments available, so we advise you bring your own; | ||
| v | Take along Lunch or alternatively eat out at a local restaurant close to the training facility. | ||
| 5) | BST1 & BST2 Training & Parking Information: | ||
| v | The training facility is located approximately 1.5 blocks East of the Columbia Sky Train Station; | ||

After you have registered at our
office in New Westminster, we will provide you with more details where to park
your vehicle, if you are driving. |
